Sunday 23rd January

Blenheim Wineries continued
After a nice dinner out in town with DJ’s friends from Blenheim we packed up the motel unit and headed to the local Farmer’s Markets.
There was a little drizzle but still managed to try the local fare.
I bought a bag of peaches one of them weighing in at 458g! Wow as you can see in the photo it looked amazing and it taste even better so juicy and delicious.

The Giant Peach!

We dropped DJ off at Omaka which is an old war plane centre made by Peter Jackson. We headed off to Seresin Estate Winery out the back of the town. I bought a nice bottle of Chardonnay and a small bottle of gold!. They make their own olive oil and they had an orange infused oil. 100ml $16.00………….$160.00 per litre? Wow.
We had some that night with ice cream……yummy!

Then off to Wither Hills Estate Winery. It is a huge winery not as big as Montana which we didn’t have time to visit. A quick tasting and a purchase of a half bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which is to become a lifesaver in weeks to come!
